AWBW Art Facilitator Training: November 2026

$1,500 (due within 3 weeks of registration)

This training will certify you to lead creative art workshops with adults, youth, and children using a trauma-informed approach through the AWBW model. Attending this training is required to facilitate Windows workshops and receive the full benefits of participating in the Community of Practice, including access to the AWBW curriculum, additional training opportunities, and ongoing support services. Trainees will get a hands-on experience of the transformative benefits of the art process.

Your training fee includes these ongoing benefits, and Continuing Education (CE) hours are available.

Note: There are no refunds for AWBW Facilitator Trainings. AWBW does permit transferring registration to a Facilitator Training held at a later date or to a coworker after notifying and receiving approval from AWBW staff.

Partial Scholarship Application

Typically our scholarships are $500. On occasion, we are able to provide a higher level scholarship for qualified individuals.

Partial scholarships are currently available for:

    • Those located in Los Angeles County, California (Limit 1 per agency.)
    • Those located in Orange County, California (Limit 1 per agency.)
    • Those based in the Coachella Valley, California
    • Those within a 30 mile radius of Victorville, CA
    • Individuals working in movement building, community organizing, and/or systems change work
    • Individuals serving fire-impacted communities

If AWBW offers you a partial scholarship, you will be required to submit:

    • Responses to 3 post-training questions.
    • Two highlight stories with images of participant artwork, submitted within 6 months of the training.

Notifications

  • Training scholarship applicants will be notified within two weeks after application has been submitted.
  • More details will be provided when notifications are sent out.
  • Note: If you’re allocated a scholarship, you must attend both full days of the training.

Acceptance of continuing education hours is determined by each individual state board separately, and AWBW cannot guarantee your specific state board will accept them. Participants are responsible for confirming whether the hours meet the requirements for their specific license and state.
